Where we stress Safety First, as well as Fun, Exercise and Friendship
'AFTER 35 HOCKEY IS FOR FUN'

This has been our tournament's Motto since the day we started.
We want to welcome all the teams back this year and any new teams that want to apply.
We do our very best to try and accommodate those applying.
To all the teams that have supported us over the years, 'A BIG THANK YOU'

Your support is something that you can all be proud of for helping the many charities that
we support year after year. Your entry in our tournament and staying at one of our
sponsoring hotels has made it possible to support Charities such as Heart
Niagara, Walker's Cancer Hospital, Salvation Army Toy and Food Drive
 at Christmas,  Boys and Girls Club,  Out in The Cold Kitchens for the
Needy, Project Share, Children's Handicap Society, Minor Boys &
 Girls Hockey Associations and many more. 

Hundreds of Thousands of Dollars Donated over the years.
We need your help to continue this support.

Something that you can do to help us Support these Charities and let you hold your heads
high is by being part of the Great Donations.  Without Teams like yours and our
sponsors we would not be able to donate to all these charities each year.

The Draw Table for Prizes, part of your entry fee and the Hotel Rebates from teams that
do support our charities  by staying at one of our sponsoring hotels, make this possible.

There will be some special activity on Saturday at the Gale Centre around 6 pm. A few
speeches and honoring a few individuals and sponsors. We hope you will join us in
the Hospitality room on this special night. Draw for prizes follows presentations.

Left picture is the Prehistorics team and the Right picture is the Old Guns team. These are
the two teams who worked the very first Auld Reid (Al Reid) tournament in 1977.

    

The Auld Reid Tournament committee says "Thank You" to the 72 teams in 19 Divisions
that participated in the 49th Tournament. With your participation and Hotel
bookings our tournament was able to provide much needed money
to a number of our Niagara Falls area charities. You can find
game scores and pictures of all the winning teams
elsewhere on this website.

The Annual Auld Reid Oldtimers is a safe hockey tournament for adults aged 20 to 60+
that takes place every January in beautiful  Niagara Falls Ontario.

To learn more about the Auld Reid and see our history click on 'Legacy-History' on the
left to learn why the tournament exists and what the future plans are.

If your team is interested in playing in the 2027 Auld Reid Tournament you can find
all you need to know about the Tournament including Entry Fee, Submission
Dates etc. on the Details page, link in on the left.  After reading details
you can then fill out and submit an Application form found on
the "Application & Roster" Page, link on the left.

At the arenas their is lots of parking, large change rooms, Canteen and Bar
on site and we have a great Prize Table every year. Tournament Hotels
are no more than a 10 minute drive to the arenas and most Hotels
are within walking distance of one of the 2 Casinos in the city.
And the Falls has many many good restaurants.
